This Christmas was great! Kamilo understood a little more about Christmas and finding something under the Christmas tree, I was able to spend time with my Family
and Eddie's family came over and we made tamales.
We were very blessed to have Alan spend Christmas with us this year since last year was his Mom's turn.

GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS 2009!
Kamilo is growing up so fast,it is becoming dificult to capture all of the moments on film.
One of my wants/wishes lately to catch up with him is a DSLR camera or what I call a "Big Girl Camera" they are a little pricey but they capture images more clearly and quicker than a point and shoot camera. I have been asking permission to buy one for myself for almost a year now! One of the reasons that have held us back is that on my sony cybershot I have the ability to edit the images on the camera before I download them to a computer. Well I finally found a DSLR that has the capability to do that and it is under $1000. So for the past couple of months I have been telling Eddie that all I want for Christmas is my Nikon D5000, I am being a little annoying about so he will give me permission to buy it for myself one day. Well he REALLY surprised me with work being so slow for him I never expected him to save up the money and actually purchase me the Nikon D5000 along with the largest memory stick they sell (16GB)! He did give it to me a couple weeks early so I can start capturing memories of the Medina 2009 Christmas :)
I have been so blessed with a wonderful caring husband!

The Medina family goes House Hunting!
This November we are Thankful for the many opportunities that God has put in front of us. Since the apartment complex has been sold and taken over by a property management company, Eddie and I decided to check with a lendor and see what we had to do to improve our credit and get into a house of our own. To our surprise, my many years of paying off old debt and keeping ourselves debt free with no credit cards had finally paid off! The Medina family was pre-approved for a home loan! Wow we are super excited! Since we have such a great discount on our apartment rent, we decided to start the very long process of looking for a short sale house. Again to our surprise our very first written offer was accepted and approved in the first week of looking. We were chosen out of 20 other applicants for a cute 2 bedroom/1 bath house in Lakeside with a very large backyard that has a cute shed/workroom.
We are told the process can take three to five months, which is needed since we have no money saved up for the downpayment. In our hearts we both know that if it is God's will everything will go smoothly.

Balboa Park
Since we live so close to Balboa park, Eddie and I like to walk around the park on the weekend. There is always some interesting entertainment to watch and we just love to see Kamilo's reaction from the different attractions.

HALLOWEEN 2009
Halloween was a wonderful time! For the second year in a row we as a family spent Halloween at my Aunt Lorna's house like we use to do when we were younger. Landra was there with Nolan, Ryan with his Fiance, and of course my aunt and her family. This year Angela and Cruz were able to join us and see how my family celebrates Halloween :)
I do truly hope that we are able to carry this tradition year after year as Nolan, Kamilo and Alan grow up.

PUMPKIN PROJECT FUN WITH LORI :)
Lori and I have been friends for at least 7 years, we were both blessed to have boys that are only 11 days apart. This Halloween Lori came up with some great craft ideas to do with the boys. We had so much fun!

Kamilo was Baptized!
As you all know I married Eddie who is a cradle Catholic on August 5th, 2006. We were married in front of our friends and family by my non-denominational pastor. It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception. One of the things I promised Eddie is we would renew our vows in the Catholic church. Well when we were blessed with Kamilo, Eddie and I after a significant amount of thought and prayer decided to raise Kamilo Catholic. .
At the time of my research and prayer I discovered I knew nothing about the Catholic traditions and it was very difficult to Baptize your child through the Catholic Church unless you were ready to make the commitment on raising him properly. One of the traditions that I did not particularly know was the meaning behind a Catholic MarriageEddie and I felt in our hearts it was important to make sure our wedding vows were blessed by the priest before we Baptized Kamilo so we with the advice from Father Matt we renewed our wedding vows and Baptized Kamilo all in the same ceremony! To make the day memorable we did this on May 30th, 2009.
This is the day after Kamilo's first Birthday! What a beautiful a memorable God moment in our lives! Ana and Marcelo who are Kamilo's Christian Godparents stood up for Eddie and I during the renewal of our vows, and Allison Eddie's cousin was Kamilo's Catholic Godmother!
Most of Eddie's family attended the event, I was blessed to have my younger sister there to represent my family. Some co-workers of mine both past and present also attended the event. Even though I was saddened by the reality that only one member of my direct family was there for such a spiritual moment it made me realize how blessed I am by my in-laws and friends!
On this speacial occasion we had a large party at Mission Bay to celebrate Kamilo's glorious Baptism and his 1st Birthday. It was a rainy and cold day but we could feel the prescence of God being there through out the afternoon. Eddie and I arrived at Mission Bay at 4am,
then my best friend Lori showed up to cover for us and missed the Baptism graciously so she could hold our spot at the bay.
When we arrived home, Cruz and Angela had Kamilo and Alan dressed for the ceremony! After the ceremony we had about 20 people tough out the rain to BBQ with us and Celebrate for over five hours .
Eddie's aunt showed up with Hot Coffee for all our guest's.
What a beautiful and God-filled Day!

With all our Love, Happy 1st Mother’s Day 2009
This Mother’s day I wanted to reflect on how blessed I am for being a mother! Two years ago this June, I was told I would not be able to conceive without fertility treatments. Three months later I found out I was pregnant without fertility treatments, God is GREAT!
Eddie gave me the best Mother’s Day present! On his own he brought Kamilo to Sears and got thier pictures taken together. I was presented with a framed photo of Eddie and Kamilo! I just Love the pictures they have taken.
That weekend we went on a walk in Balboa parks and took some cute pictures, then Sunday morning Ana and Marcelo Kamilo's Christian Godparents took me and my boys out to brunch in Old Town and then to Roadrunner Sports to buy me a new pair of walking shoes.
In the late afternoon of Mother's day, my two sister in laws Luz and Meriam and my Mother in law came over from Tijuana for a Mother's Day BBQ and brought me flowers. It was a very nice afternoon.
I have been so blessed this year with my Husband, Baby, Family, and Friends!
